Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.

If you understand the importance of self-care, we salute and welcome you.
Self-care is more than just a wellness trend. It’s a vital practice for a healthy mind, body, and life.
But it’s often easier said than done. Our lives are busier than ever. We all have a lot going on, whether it’s work, studies, caring for a family, or a combination of the three.
40% of people say they rarely make time for themselves each day.
Kelton Global & Birchbox research
Self-care often gets pushed to the side even though it can enhance our other responsibilities. When we feel depleted, it’s impossible to give it our all at work or at home.
We’ve gotten used to thinking that taking time for ourselves is selfish when we have deadlines, meetings, or home obligations looming. But the truth is, it’s one of the best things we can do. By taking a few minutes to refill our cups, we can go back to our lives filled with energy and dedication.
Don’t be afraid to take a moment or two for yourself. It will only come with benefits for you and those you love.

6 easy ways to incorporate self-care into your daily routine
It can seem difficult to carve out even a few minutes for yourself, but prioritizing self-care is so beneficial. It helps you and the ones you love. You’ll feel calmer, happier, and less stressed out – ready to serve yourself and your loved ones.
Self-care doesn’t have to be extravagant or difficult. Incorporate these 6 things into your daily schedule to enjoy regular self-care.
Drink a healthy amount of water every day
Adequate hydration is so important for our overall health. If you’re a caffeine addict it might be hard to make the transition at first, but it will be very worthwhile.
Invest in a portable water bottle. It will help you keep track of the amount of water you drink, and it will also become the most convenient option for you when you’re feeling thirsty. If you’re not a fan of plain water, you can always spruce yours up with fruit or cucumber slices for added flavor and freshness.
Prioritize sleep, no matter how hard it gets
This is another thing that may seem difficult if you’re used to living life on the go. The truth is, it’s all about priorities. There may be external forces in your life like a newborn baby that disrupt your sleep pattern or intense work hours, but many of us are guilty of staying up too late scrolling on our phones or watching Netflix.
It may not seem like fun at the time, but trimming down your evening routine and going to bed early will be well worth it in the morning.
Consume at least 5 servings of fruit & vegetables
A healthy body leads to a healthy mind. Changing your diet isn’t always easy, so you can begin to introduce fruits and vegetables in a subtle manner. Add some berries to your morning bowl of cereal or your yogurt pot. Have a small side salad with your lunch or dinner. Swap your morning or afternoon coffee for a smoothie or green juice. Snack on an apple instead of a bag of chips. Eventually, getting to 5 servings will be a breeze!
Laugh daily
Take it easy and laugh! Crack a joke with a loved one, watch a goofy comedy, or scroll through a few meme pages. Laughter is good for the soul and boosts feelings of happiness.
Disconnect from your phone/TV/computer
Reconnect with your mind and free yourself from the stresses of social media by having a quick break from screens. This could mean going for a walk in nature, having a bath, reading a book, or making a home-cooked meal without any distractions. Any activity that allows you to hide your phone away.
Focus on the positives about yourself, even when it feels impossible
Give yourself at least one compliment every day. It can be purely physical. Maybe you love your outfit or you’re having a great hair day. You can also dig deeper and acknowledge your positive personality traits. The more comfortable you get with being kind to yourself, the more naturally self-care will come.

Your self-care practice will take time to develop, so starting small is perfect. Remember that any imperfect action is better than nothing at all. So go ahead – love yourself!
